E-Learning Providers and the SWAT™ System |
||||||
How would SWAT integrate with my system? The SWAT System can easily be integrated with an existing E-learning platform. SWAT uses the highly portable Java language which functions in all major network environments. Databases, file systems, and other stored data can easily be imported into the SWAT system, and data generated using the SWAT system can be incorporated into any existing structure. In fact, most transitions made to the SWAT system require zero downtime, and very little employee training. The use of SWAT technology is entirely invisible to your customers.
In effect, our technology becomes your technology.
User requests can be sent to the SWAT system using any Web Server. The request first goes to the Request Handler which constructs a series of operations and passes them to the Security Module. The Security Module determines whether or not the user has the appropriate permissions, and then passes the request to the Test Delivery Module, or Storage Module. When a test is requested, the Test Delivery Module generates a unique test instance to the examinee based on the criteria specified by the test's designer.
If historical data is requested, the Storage Module extracts the requested information from its existing databases. The Storage Module also provides an interface with outside storage mechanisms.
How stable is SWAT, and what volume can it support? SWAT is bedrock stable, totally secure, and appropriate for mission critical applications. The SWAT system can support the generation and administration of over 10,000 test instances concurrently from a single server.
SWAT is fully scalable. A single server usually handles all requests, whether they are received over an intranet or the Internet. In rare cases where additional capacity is required, the SWAT system can be installed on a Java application server such as Web Logic.
Testengine.com offers two licensing options. For small companies, or companies that require the SWAT system only for limited purposes, we offer an ASP Model. Companies using the ASP model will be charged on a per-test basis, with all tests being generated by Testengine.com's servers and administered over the Internet.
Under the ASP model, Testengine.com's servers will also store all gathered data. The exact dollar figure your company will be charged per test depends on what features you wish to use, and how many tests per month your company plans to administer.
For larger companies with more comprehensive needs, Testengine.com offers an annual licensing agreement. Under this model, Testengine.com will install its proprietary software on a server provided by the client. The client has unlimited use of the server, and will be charged an annual fee.
The exact dollar figure your company will be charged per year depends on which features you wish to use, and the amount of test generation capacity your company requires.
Can I have access to source code? Yes. Companies with annual licensing agreements may be given access to our source code for an additional fee. |
