Higher Learning and the SWAT™ System

I already have a testing solution. Can SWAT™ integrate with this solution?

Yes. The SWAT system uses the highly portable Java language which functions in all major network environments. Databases, file systems, and other stored data can easily be imported into the SWAT system, and data generated using the SWAT system can be incorporated into any existing structure. In fact, most transitions made to the SWAT system require almost no downtime, and very little employee training.

Is SWAT customizable?

Yes. The SWAT system is customizable, scalable, and flexible. The appearance of the SWAT tests, the type of tests to be administered, and the type of reporting and analysis tools used can all be tailor made to meet each instructor's specific needs. When you use the SWAT system, our tests become your tests. In fact, with a small time investment, each department head or professor can learn to design tests which are unique to the subject or class. The SWAT system can further be customized to provide interactive and multimedia training tools.

How hard is SWAT to use?

Anyone can learn to use the SWAT system in minutes. Evaluations use standard conventions which require no explanation. Designing tests requires significant thought using any system, but the SWAT system is designed to work with you, not against you. If the test's designer requires the use of advanced features, he or she can add or remove them as necessary. Data analysis and reporting tools are designed to penetrate the haze of numbers and provide clear understandable solutions to students and professors alike.

Is SWAT secure?

Yes. The SWAT system can be plugged in to any existing security system, or can stand alone. The security system allows users permissions at the examinee, designer, or administrator levels.

What data analysis tools does SWAT include?

The SWAT system employs a revolutionary data analysis tool called SWAT Sage™. Each time a test is administered, SWAT Sage records any and all pertinent data, including exactly which questions were administered, what responses were received from the subject, and the subject's total score. The system can then statistically determine whether or not any questions are redundant, or not clearly representative of the knowledge being tested.

How is SWAT licensed?

Testengine.com offers two licensing options. For individual departments, or special situations that require the SWAT system only for limited purposes, we offer an ASP Model. Institutions using the ASP model will be charged on a per-test basis, with all tests being generated by Testengine.com's servers and administered over the Internet. Under the ASP model, Testengine.com's servers will also store all gathered data. The exact dollar figure your company will be charged per test depends on what features you wish to use, and how many tests are to be administered each month.

For entire colleges and universities or large departments with more comprehensive needs, Testengine.com offers an annual licensing agreement. Under this model, Testengine.com will install its proprietary software on a server provided by the client. The client has unlimited use of the server, and will be charged an annual fee. The exact dollar figure your institution will be charged per year depends on which features you wish to use, and the amount of test generation capacity you will require.
